Join Ken Mayes of Bikram Yoga Victoria, yoga and pilates extraordinaire Maria Filippone, and BDHQ’s Michele Shorter for a weekend of yoga, pilates, bootcamp, and trail running. Taking place at the spectatcular Black Rock Resort in, Ucluelet, B.C. breath taking scenery will set the background for any activity you choose to take part in during the adventure retreat.

The tentative schedule for our Adventure Weekend is as follows.

Friday March 2nd

4 – 8 30pm - Check-In at Black Rock Resort @596 Marine Drive, Ucluelet BC

9:00pm – 45 to 60 min “Ground Down” This is a gentle Vinyasa flow Yoga class with Maria Fillipone,  This is a great option for those wishing to stretch their bodies out after a day of travel. 

10pm - Evening get together “Meet and Greet” your fellow Adventurers’ over some light refreshments. Great time to pick up your Retreat complimentary Retreat T-Shirt.

Saturday March 3rd

8:30 to 10:00 Breakfast available (note these times may change slightly)

The schedule for the Saturday am classes will be displayed on site as some of the classes may be occurring simultaneously to provide options for our guest.

Sat am: PilatesPower Flow This is a moderately vigorous Practice infused with Pilates taught by Maria Fillipone approx. 75 to 90 min.

Sat am, Bikram style class “due to the facility, the room will be warm not hot” Class approx. 90 min.

Sat am: Trail run and or bootcamp outside along the Ocean trails with Michele Shorter.

12-1pm Lunch

1pm - 4:00pm - Surf Lesson or Spa Treatment. (spa treatments must be made in advance through the resort and surf lessons are provided through Surf Sister and are number dependent)

($65 for 3 hour Learn to Surf Lesson)

6pm to 7pm Light Bikram class 60 min

6:45to 7:30 pm Goal Setting presentation facilitated by Michele Shorter. Michele has been a successful entrepreneur, and health educator for over ten years. Michele has recently been profiled in Douglas Magazine’s Top ten business leaders to watch Campaign.

 7 30 pm Dinner in the Black Rock Ballroom.

 8 pm until 11ish  Be casual, or dress up a bit, it’s really up to you, but LET’S DANCE and mingle. (cash bar)002038153

 

Sunday March 4th

Sun am Prior enjoy a SURYA NAMASKAR flow class with Maria Fillipone

Or, a morning run/bootcamp session with Michele Shorter

followed by a 60 min Bikram class with Ken Mayes.

9:00am - Breakfast

11 check out/farewell gathering in the restaurant.


The syllabus above will change slightly but this will give you an idea. You will also notice that some events may seem to conflict with each other as some events will be going on simultaneously.
